Privacy Policy

atme.tv ("atme", "we") is a studio and page for live streamers. This page says what we keep about streamers, their guests and their viewers, why, and how to have it removed. Questions: creators@atme.tv.

What we keep

  • Your account. When you sign in with Google, Twitch or Kick: your name, email, profile picture and that account's id.
  • Your page and studio settings. What you put on your page, your layouts, scenes, sounds, images and hotkeys.
  • Connected accounts. When you connect YouTube, Twitch or Kick in Settings, the access granted to atme for that account (see below).
  • Stream keys. The keys you add for multistreaming, so we can send your stream to those platforms. We only ever show you the last four characters.
  • Clips. While you stream through atme, the stream is recorded so you can clip it. Recordings and clips are deleted after 30 days unless you keep a clip.
  • Followers. If you ask to be emailed when a streamer goes live, your email, until you turn it off.
  • Chat. Messages sent in a streamer's atme chat, and the recent chat from their platforms, are kept briefly so the show and the page can display them.

What we don't keep

  • Card numbers. Payments go through Stripe and stay with Stripe.
  • Your voice. For captions, audio is sent to our speech provider as you speak and turned into text; atme keeps the text on screen, not the audio.
  • Your camera and screen, apart from the stream recording above. They travel through our video servers to the people in your room and to your OBS.

YouTube and other connected accounts

When a streamer connects YouTube, atme asks Google for access to manage their YouTube account. We use it only for what the streamer asks atme to do: setting their live stream's title, posting their messages and the show bot's in their live chat, removing messages or people from their chat when they moderate, and uploading a clip as a Short when they press Post. We read their channel's name and id to show which channel is connected. We do not use YouTube data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not let people read it, except when the streamer asks or the law requires it.

atme's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. atme uses the YouTube API Services; by connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to Google.

Twitch and Kick connections work the same way, for the title, chat and moderation. Disconnect any of them in Settings, under Connections, which deletes what atme holds for it. You can also take atme's access away from Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The atme Chrome extension

The extension runs only on umingle.com and atme.tv. On Umingle, when a streamer opens it from their atme studio, it sends the video and sound of the person they are matched with, and the "You both like" text Umingle shows, to that streamer's atme room so their stream can show them; it gives Umingle a mix of the people on the streamer's stage as the camera, and adds the streamer's soundboard sounds. On atme.tv it only tells the studio that it is installed. It keeps the streamer's room name and a key that stops working after a day, in the browser. It reads nothing else, keeps no browsing history, and sends nothing to anyone but the streamer's atme room.

Who else handles it

  • Cloudflare hosts atme, its data and the video servers.
  • Soniox turns speech into captions and translations.
  • Stripe takes payments for caption time, tips and subscriptions.
  • Resend sends the "live now" emails.
  • Google, Twitch and Kick handle signing in, and the accounts you connect.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Studio choices like your camera and mic are kept in your browser. There are no ad or tracking cookies.

Removing your data

Email creators@atme.tv from the address on your account and we will delete your account, page, settings, connected accounts, keys and clips. Live emails can be turned off from any of them, or on the streamer's page.

If this changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell streamers in the studio.
